Woodlands Preschool builds on the experience and success of our sister setting, Bluebells Preschool, which has been providing high-quality early years education and care since September 2013.
We are two well-established, nurturing preschools at the heart of the Coulsdon and Caterham community, offering exceptional care and learning opportunities for children aged 18 months to 5 years.
Woodlands Preschool is located at Joliffe Playing Ground, Fox Lane, Caterham, CR3 5QS. Due to our unique location within Farthing Downs, sat navs can sometimes direct visitors incorrectly. For the easiest access, please follow directions to The Grove, CR3 5QB, which will bring you to our access road.
We are fortunate to be surrounded by excellent local schools and work closely with families to ensure children are well prepared for their next stage of learning.
We offer all government-funded childcare entitlements, including Early Learning for 2-Year-Olds funding, the 15-hour entitlement, and the 30-hour funded childcare offer.
We pride ourselves on creating a warm, inclusive environment where every child can thrive. We have extensive experience in supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and work closely with parents, carers, and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for every child.
We pride ourselves on our knowledge and experience working with SEND, we have a great partnership with outside agencies as well as working closely with the local authority SEND coordinators.
We focus on the individual child at the centre of our approach and acknowledge that all children are unique. We will observe and monitor all children’s learning journeys and support families where children who may need extra learning support. The practitioners at Woodlands also have knowledge of Makaton to ease frustrations in children who are non-verbal and/or have language delay or disorders.
